Centrifugal Fans

A common problem in centrifugal fans is uneven supply air velocity distribution across the inlet, and this causes increased vibration levels at the blade pass rate. If the fan is out of balance and is overhung, high 1X vibration will occur in axial as well as both radial directions.

Defective blades can also cause 1X sidebands around the blade pass frequency.
