Step-by-Step Analysis of Spectra
In preparation for the diagnostic techniques described in the next chapter, the first steps of analysis should be performed as follows:
This procedure assumes the vibration spectra are printed on paper. When viewing spectra on the computer screen, similar procedures are used, as explained in the software instructions.
Note that all the following steps are greatly simplified if the spectra are order normalized.
