Survey of Machinery Maintenance Practices

Presented here is an overview of maintenance programs and techniques as practiced in the early 1990s in a wide variety of industrial areas. Most of the information presented here was collected from shore side industrial plants, but it is equally applicable to maintenance of shipboard mechanical systems. While the emphasis is on predictive maintenance, other disciplines are described and evaluated.
